McAvennie slams 'hopeless' Ralston after he was 'roasted' at Celtic
Frank McAvennie has slammed Anthony Ralston after his poor recent performances for Celtic.
The former Hoops hitman, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, claims the defender was “all over the place” last weekend.
Ralston, 22, has made 15 appearances for Celtic this season and has featured heavily over the last few games.
He started at right-back as the Hoops were smashed 4-0 by Bayer Leverkusen on Thursday night.
The defender has only missed two games this season with Celtic sitting sixth in the Scottish Premiership.
Ange Postecoglou’s defence has been questioned in recent weeks with eight goals now conceded in just two Europa League group games.

McAvennie claims Ralston was “roasted” by Dundee United’s attackers last weekend and told him to muscle up.
“Sometimes you have to be stronger in there,” McAvennie told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“In that game against Dundee United, he was all over the place, hopeless.
“Last weekend, he got absolutely roasted by the Dundee United attackers. I want to see more from him.
“He looks like a boy, if he keeps going he will become a good player. But right now he’s not there.
“That defence is still a big problem. Ralston isn’t the answer to those problems.
“I have said this so many times and I stand by it.”
Celtic now face an uphill battle to qualify from their Europa League group.
Next up is a double-header against Ferencvaros after the international break.
