McAvennie spots 'brilliant' Abada moment in Celtic clash that left him in stitches
Frank McAvennie was blown away by Liel Abada’s performance as Celtic beat Dundee.
The Parkhead icon, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, reacted to the winger’s quick start to life at his new club.
Abada, 19, signed for Celtic on 14th July and scored just days later on his first outing at Parkhead.
Abada, 19, has scored two goals and chipped in with two assists during his five outings for Celtic.
He assisted Kyogo Furuhashi’s first as the Hoops smashed Dundee 6-0 at the weekend.
This came just days after he opened the scoring in Celtic’s win over FK Jablonec.

McAvennie loved what he saw from the Israel international and called him “different class”.
“I really like Abada,” McAvennie told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“He looks different class. He’s scoring goals and his confidence is through the roof and he’ll only get better.
“I loved that he tried to take the ball off Edouard for the penalty.
“I thought that was brilliant. Edouard looked at him as if to say ‘you are having a laugh aren’t you?’
“That shows the confidence he has though and he’s another one who hasn’t really taken time to settle in.
“I’m excited to see what he does next, hopefully more goals.”
Celtic face Jablonec in the Europa League tonight as they look to progress to the next stage of qualifying.
They take a 4-2 lead into the game after last week’s win in the Czech Republic.
