McGregor can't believe 'unbelievable' Rangers news that's emerged - Hutton
Alan Hutton has revealed Allan McGregor is “buzzing” after Rangers announced a pre-season friendly against Real Madrid.
The former Ibrox defender, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, admitted he could not believe the Light Blues had managed to lure the La Liga giants to Glasgow.
Rangers revealed last week (July 8th) the Spanish heavyweights will visit Ibrox on July 25th for their final pre-season game of the summer.
The Light Blues kick off their Premiership campaign less than a week later against Livingston.
Hutton admitted it would be a “brilliant” occasion for both fans and the players at Ibrox.
He revealed close friend McGregor was already very excited at the thought of facing Real Madrid.

Hutton told Football Insider’s Russell Edge: “How good is that? When I read it, I genuinely couldn’t believe it. Unbelievable.
“That is brilliant, that is the pre-season game that you want. Yes, it’ll be difficult, you’re testing yourself against some of the best players in world football. A great manager in charge.
“It’ll just be a great day, a great atmosphere to be involved in. It does show you how far Rangers have come that they can attract these sort of teams. Even Arsenal, that’s a massive fixture.
“These are two games that the Rangers fans will be desperate to get in and and watch. To see their side compete against top-level opposition. It would just be brilliant to be a part of.
“I was speaking to Allan McGregor about it the other day and he was buzzing about it. The fact that Real Madrid are coming to Rangers, can’t believe it.
“It’ll be a great spectacle but a tough game, don’t get me wrong. It’s an opportunity to put yourself up against some top-quality opposition and really see where you’re at.
“It’s the last pre-season game and then you’re into the season. You do want that tough test towards the end.
“You want to fine-tune your team playing against some really good opposition and get ready for the first game of the season.”
