McLeish issues 'massive' Celtic prediction after McGregor update via BBC
Alex McLeish claims Callum McGregor’s injury is a massive blow to Celtic ahead of tonight’s clash with Real Betis.
The former Scotland boss, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, reacted to the latest Hoops injury news.
BBC Sport (15 September) report McGregor and Leil Abada will miss tonight’s clash in Seville.
McGregor, 28, has been ever-present in Ange Postecoglou’s Celtic lineups after he was named captain by the new boss.
He has made 12 appearances so far this season, scoring one goal.
The Hoops face a strong Real Betis side tonight in their first Europa League group game.

McLeish claims it would be a “massive bonus” if Celtic can take anything from the game, especially with McGregor injured.
“It’s a huge night for Celtic,” McLeish told Football Insider correspondent Adam Williams.
“They have McGregor out I believe, massive loss, he’s been a great talisman for them in the engine room.
“Betis are a really strong team and if Celtic can get something then it would be a massive bonus for them.
“Even to get a draw would be big. I don’t see them winning, they would need something pretty inspirational to do that in my opinion.
“I know the importance of Europe to those European clubs and the game tonight might not be Celtic’s priority.”
The Hoops made it through three rounds of qualifiers to make it to the Europa League group stage.
They will also face Bayer Leverkusen and Ferencvaros as they look to go one better than last season and reach the knockout rounds.
