McLeish makes Griffiths prediction after 'accusation against him' at Celtic
Alex McLeish has suggested Leigh Griffiths had grown unhappy at Celtic ahead of his loan move to Dundee.
The former Scotland boss, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, insisted a change of scenery could help the 31-year-old silence his doubters at Parkhead.
Celtic confirmed on Tuesday (31st August) Griffiths has joined Dundee on loan for the rest of the season.
The striker only signed a one-year contract extension earlier this summer.
However, he had not featured under Ange Postecoglou before his deadline day move.
McLeish suggested Griffiths may have become dissatisfied with his squad status at Parkhead.

As such, he tipped the hitman to bounce back during his temporary spell away.
“I think if you look at Leigh’s appearances over the last couple of seasons, they’ve been very, very limited,” McLeish told Football Insider’s Russell Edge.
“I’m sure the player wouldn’t be satisfied with that himself. Going to Dundee, it looks like to me he will get more game time than he’s got at Celtic in the last two seasons.
“He is not a spring chicken, he is an experienced player and he’s nearing the last years of his career. He wants to play as many games as he can.
“It’s a bit like a young player coming through, they need to get as much first-team games as possible. Leigh Griffiths needs to play.
“I think it’s a good move for Dundee and a bit of freshness for the player in terms of the environment.
“I’m sure he will be willing to get as fit as he can. That’s an accusation against him at Celtic as well, that he’s not been fit enough.
“If he gets himself to top fitness, that is a really good bit of business for Dundee.
