Nottingham Forest are close to completing the loan signing of highly-rated Monaco attacker Gil Bastiao Dias and that will include an option to sign him on a permanent basis, according to a report.
The Telegraph claims that the 21-year-old will have a medical later on Friday ahead of his switch to the Championship and he is set to be the latest high-profile arrival at the City Ground.
It is understood that winger could complete his move in the next 48 hours and that he is valued at £17.5million on the market right now.
Football Insider verdict:
Forest look set to add yet another quality player to their squad ahead of next season and surely at this rate they will have to be considered one of the frontrunners for promotion. They appear to be following a similar path to Wolves, who clinched the Championship title after improving their squad massively last summer. Dias will arrive at the City Ground with bags of potential and the fact the deal has an option to buy is extremely positive. The dazzling wide man usually plays on the right flank and is a Portugal Under-21 international. He has spent time out on loan with Rio Ave and Fiorentina in the past two years, experiencing regular first-team action in the top flight of Portugal and Italy. He has shown that he can score goals and create assists at a high level, something that he will be expected to repeat next year for Forest.
In other Nottingham Forest news, they are lining up a 22-year-old defender.
