AC Milan forward M’Baye Niang is set to have a medical at Watford on Thursday after agreeing a loan-to-buy deal, according to a reliable journalist.
Sky Sports reporter Kaveh Solhekol revealed on his personal Twitter account that Niang was set to join the Hornets on loan, with a view to a permanent move believed to be within £13million and £15million.

This comes after the Daily Star claimed earlier this month that the 22-year-old speed machine was interesting the Hammers.
Manager Slaven Bilic is reported to be eyeing a striker this month, and Frenchman Niang could have been the man to solve his problem area in the final third.
Italy international Simone Zaza has left the Hammers to join La Liga side Valencia, while Diafra Sakho remains injured and Andre Ayew is representing Ghana at the African Cup of Nations.

With Ashley Fletcher and Jonathan Calleri failing to have an impact at the London Stadium, Niang was targeted to support target man Andy Carroll in attack.
However, Watford look to have stolen a march on the Hammers as they close in on a move for Milan’s number 11.
Football Insider verdict:
The Hammers possess little pace in attack, and bringing fleet-footed Niang to east London would have given manager Bilic an extra dimension among his forward options. However, the Hammers must now look elsewhere to bring in a player with similar qualities to Niang, as they look to fire themselves away from the bottom half of the Premier League and maintain their resurgent domestic form. With less than a week remaining in this month’s transfer window, Bilic must move quickly in bringing a new signing if he is to maintain that kind of form with Carroll known for his injury-prone reputation and the rest of the Hammers strike force struggling to find any kind of form.
