Portsmouth are on the verge of signing Bromley centre-forward Reeco Hackett-Fairchild, Football Insider can reveal.
The 21-year-old is set to under a medical at the club’s headquarters today as he puts the finishing touches to the transfer.
A Portsmouth source has told Football Insider that the club have agreed a few in excess of £100,000 with Bromley for Hackett-Fairchild.
The attacker is expected to sign a two-and-a-half year deal once he comes through his medical.
Hackett-Fairchild has been one of the standout performers in the National League this season for Bromley, helping them to fourth spot in the table.
He has scored eight goals for the Kent-based outfit this season and a host of Football League clubs have been keeping tabs on him.
However, Portsmouth have moved quickly to steal a march on their rivals by setting up a deal with Bromley for the former Charlton forward.
Portsmouth boss Kenny Jackett is keen to bolster his attacking options in January and he sees Hackett-Fairchild as a valuable addition to his squad.
Hackett-Fairchild began his career in the youth ranks of Fulham and Brighton & Hove Albion, before joining Charlton.
He made 24 first-team appearances for the Addicks in all competitions, scoring twice.
