Mega-money Martinez deal an 'exciting proposition' for Tottenham, says Robinson
Paul Robinson has called on Tottenham executives to try everything in their power to keep Harry Kane and add Lautaro Martinez to their front line.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, former shot-stopper Robinson was tantalised by the prospect of Martinez linking up with Kane.
A Tottenham source has told Football Insider that the Inter Milan striker is “very keen” on a move to London following talks this week.
That development came a day after The Times reported Tottenham had agreed a fee of around £60million with Inter for the Argentinian.
Robinson is not convinced that Tottenham will sign the Copa America champion without selling Kane.
He told Football Insider‘s Dylan Childs: “I don’t think Spurs will get him without Kane going.

“He’s a great striker. It would be fantastic if Spurs wanted to go to the next level. They could really push the boat out by getting him and keeping Kane as well.
“If you look at the way he played last season with Lukaku. He played off him and around him and got 11 assists, as well as almost 20 goals.
“To have him and Harry Kane would be a similarly exciting proposition.
“I saw him playing in the Copa America. He was strong, he was very quick. Spurs fans might not know much about him, but they would definitely be getting a very good player.”
In other news, Tottenham could complete a centre-back signing in the coming days.
