Michael Owen predicts Newcastle v Swansea
By Derek Smithson
Michael Owen believes that Newcastle United will suffer a defeat against Swansea and has stated that it isn’t looking good for manager Rafael Benitez.
The Magpies travel to the Liberty Stadium on Sunday afternoon for a Premier League clash and will be looking to continue the momentum gained from their 3-0 win over West Ham.
The North East club picked up their first points of the season in their last game, but are expected to be fighting a relegation battle this season.
Benitez’s future at St James’ Park has come under serious question recently after he grew frustrated at the club’s lack of transfer activity.
However, new signings Joselu and Mikel Merino have made positive start since their summer arrivals and Benitez will hope the players who get the club promoted can regain their top form.

Ex-Newcastle striker Owen believes his former side will lose against Swansea this weekend and has claimed he fears for the manager.
“I really fear for Newcastle this season and the signs from manager Rafa Benitez aren’t good,” Owen told Bet Victor. “I expect the Magpies to struggle at the Liberty Stadium, with Paul Clement doing brilliant work in the closing stages of the summer transfer window. “
Newcastle will need to be wary of Paul Clement’s Swansea, who could field their deadline day signings in a new-look team.
Both Wilfried Bony and Renato Sanches moved to the Swans late in the summer window to give their side some extra firepower.
In other Newcastle United news, the club’s supporters want Benitez to axe their 24-year-old against Swansea.
