Mills: Aston Villa handed major Grealish boost after update from Romano
Danny Mills has suggested Manchester City may drop their interest in signing Jack Grealish from Aston Villa if they can complete a deal for Harry Kane.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-City and England defender insisted it would be unlike his former club to complete two mega-money deals in the same transfer window.
The speculation surrounding both Kane and Grealish has hotted up in the past week.
Fabrizio Romano reported today (28 June) it would be “more than complicated” to complete both deals.
Man City reportedly made a formal bid of £100million for Kane that was rejected by Tottenham.
“I look at it and think does this become an either-or in terms of Grealish and Harry Kane,” Mills told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley.

“It would be unlike for City to spend that amount of money on two players.
“Then you think where do they all fit in? Phil Foden, Grealish, Riyad Mahrez, Raheem Sterling, Bernardo Silva, Ilkay Gundogan, Kevin de Bruyne. Who fits in where? If Kane goes in that’s one of the forward spots gone. It could well be an either-or situation.
“Jack Grealish is a fantastic player, we’ve all seen that and accept that. Only he and his agents and Man City will know how firm that interest is and only they will know if they want to get both of them.
“With the squad that they have if you’ve got to pick one it’s got to be Harry Kane. He’s something they haven’t got. Grealish is still a very good player but they’ve got other players who can do a similar job to Grealish. They don’t have a Harry Kane, a direct replacement for Sergio Aguero.”
