Mills: Lundstram will be a different animal at Rangers and 'I can't wait'
John Lundstram will be a completely transformed player when he walks into the Rangers dressing room.
That is the view of ex-England and Leeds United defender Danny Mills, speaking exclusively to Football Insider as the midfielder signed a three-year deal with the Ibrox outfit.
Lundstram left Sheffield United when his contract expired at the end of last season and joined the Gers on a free transfer.
The Blades suffered relegation last term and Lundstram was accused by fans of downing tools when it was apparent he was set to leave.
“He was desperate to leave Sheffield United since about Christmas time,” Mills told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley.
“I know they were struggling at that point but they still had a chance of getting out of relegation.

“He just looked like he wasn’t interested and just wanted to go somewhere else.
“Maybe a top Championship side or a lower Premier League side will have had a look at him and thought ‘Yes, we might give you a go.’
“He’s gone to Scotland so he obviously likes what Steven Gerrard is doing, as we all do. He probably thinks he can do something quite decent.
“The opportunity to play Champions League football is a massive bonus.
“Sometimes players lose a bit of focus but as soon as he walks into that Rangers dressing room and has his first few training sessions he’ll get his buzz back.
“He’ll have that mojo back. ‘Oh, I’ve missed this. I love doing this. I can’t wait to get the opportunity to play at the weekend.’ That’s what you want. I don’t think that’s a worry at all.”
