Mills salutes 'incredible' Harrison after Leeds news
Jack Harrison has enjoyed an “incredible” loan spell with Leeds United and thoroughly deserves his permanent move.
That is the view of ex-Whites and England defender Danny Mills, speaking exclusively to Football Insider after it was confirmed the winger had penned a three-year deal with the club.
Football Insider understands the deal will cost the Yorkshire giants in excess of £20million in wages and transfer fee.
Harrison told the club website the move had been “a long time coming” after he spent the previous three seasons on loan from Manchester City.
The 24-year-old racked up 128 appearances for Leeds during his loan spell and provided 38 goal contributions.
He scored eight times and provided eight assists in 36 Premier League games last season as the Whites secured a ninth-place finish.

And Mills has claimed his experience of the club will help him settle into life as a permanent Leeds player.
He told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley: “He’s been there for so long, he’s almost part of the furniture.
“I think he must have had the longest loan spell in history! 120-odd games which is incredible. Most loanees do a season, then move on and go somewhere else.
“He’s been rewarded for his performances, his incredible work rate.”
As well as Harrison, Marcelo Bielsa has added Junior Firpo from Barcelona to his senior squad ahead of the upcoming Premier League campaign.
Mark Jackson’s Under-23s side has been bolstered by the addition of Amari Miller from Birmingham City.
Football Insider learned today (7 July) they are also set to announce the signing of 18-year-old midfielder Sean McGurk from Wigan Athletic.
