Graham Roberts has slaughtered Dejan Lovren on Twitter for trolling Harry Kane on Instagram and labelled him a “shocking defender” who the Tottenham man reduced to “mincemeat”.
Roberts took to social media to defend Kane after Lovren became the latest Liverpool player to have a sly dig at him in response to Mohamed Salah’s Instagram post.
Salah uploaded a photo of him lifted off the ground by his Reds team-mates with his PFA Team of the Year award in his hands at their training ground on Monday.
The Egyptian wrote: ‘Very fortunate to be adding another award in my first season playing with this great group of players! @dejanlovren06 did you vote for me?’
Centre back Lovren showed his funny side as he replied: ‘@mosalah My vote went to Mr. “Touch” I am joking brate. U know already my answer’ followed by wink and kiss face emojis.
Roberts was fuming at Lovren’s conduct and recalled on his personal Twitter account how Kane’s double in Tottenham’s 4-1 win over Liverpool at Wembley last October forced the substitution of the centre-back in the first half.
Wow seen it all now Dejan Lovern trying to troll Harry Kane I would concentrate on your defending pal you need to I recall Harry making mince meat out of you at Wembley you are one shocking defender.

Football Insider verdict:
Roberts’ criticism of Lovren is way off the mark in terms of his defending. Doesn’t the ex-Spur ever see any Liverpool games? The Croatian has been outstanding for 95 per cent of the time since his meltdown at Wembley six months ago and is far from the hapless operator that some paint him to be. Nevertheless, Lovren should not be mocking Kane on Instagram or anywhere else. It is poor form, as is the continual criticism of the England striker from the Liverpool camp. Kane has received heavy criticism on social media from those who should know better after he claimed and then was awarded Spurs’ winner against Stoke on April 7 despite it being given to Christian Eriksen originally. The English striker claimed he got a touch to a cross by Eriksen and the club’s appeal to have it added to Kane’s tally was successful. Trolling him as ‘Mr Touch’ is dumb. It will only motivate Kane to make Lovren eat his words the next time the two sides meet.
