‘What we have been missing since Suarez’ - Liverpool fans urge club to sign 37-goal striker
By Derek Smithson
Atletico Madrid will be unable to sign Lyon’s Alexandre Lacazette in the summer – and Liverpool fans have urged their club on Twitter to move for the striker.
La Liga giants Atletico have had their appeal against a transfer ban rejected by the Court of Arbitration for Sport and it means they will be unable to sign players until January 2018.
Lacazette had reportedly agreed to join the Spanish giants this summer, but he will now have to wait until at least January to potentially make the move.
The French striker has been in sensational form recently and scored 37 goals in just 45 appearances for Lyon last season.
The Daily Mirror have reported that Liverpool are keen on signing the forward, who is rated at £60million after his impressive performances in front of goal.

The Reds fans believe they should reignite their move for Lacazette following developments with Atletico’s transfer plans.
One fan suggested that they have not had a prolific attacker since Luis Suarez, who become a fan favourite during his time in the Premier League and is now a star man for Barcelona.

Liverpool will be able to offer Lacazette Champions League football next season following their fourth-placed Premier League finish and manager Jurgen Klopp is looking to build a new dynasty at Anfield.
The Merseyside club do already have several strikers in their squad including the likes of Roberto Firmino, Daniel Sturridge and Divock Origi.
In other Liverpool transfer news, they have exited the race to sign a teenage sensation.
