Mohamed Salah has 'made up his mind' over new Liverpool deal after 'brilliant' news - pundit
Jurgen Klopp’s new Liverpool contract will play no role in whether Mohamed Salah agrees to sign a new deal.
That’s according to former West Ham hitman Frank McAvennie, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the Egyptian’s future.
On Thursday (28 April) Liverpool announced Klopp has signed a new contract, keeping him at the club until the summer of 2026.
However, Salah’s future remains in doubt with his current deal set to expire in the summer of 2023.
The 29-year-old told FourFourTwo magazine last week (22 April) his new deal is not all about the money.
However, despite Klopp’s new commitment to the Anfield club, McAvennie fears Salah has already decided to leave.

“I don’t know about Salah staying at Liverpool,” McAvennie told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“I saw somewhere he’s made up his mind wanting to go to Real Madrid, that’s what people are saying.
“That’s the rumour and it makes sense if he doesn’t want to sign this new deal.
“If it’s not about the money then why hasn’t he signed? Because you can bet Liverpool are offering him loads of money.
“Real Madrid is the club you read about and a lot of players want to move there.
“If Salah wants to do that then Klopp staying makes absolutely no difference, as brilliant as it is for the club.“
Salah has scored 30 goals in 44 appearances for Liverpool in all competitions this season.
Klopp’s side are next in action against Newcastle United on Saturday (30 April).
