Moyes: This is how I made Arnautovic play better for West Ham
West Ham manager David Moyes was asked how he has improved Marko Arnautovic’s form, and said that he simply tells the players, including the striker, to work harder.
In his press conference ahead of the Arsenal game, the Hammers boss shared that expectations were high for Arnautovic and that he simply wants to get the same out him that Stoke City did.
“Everyone knows he is a really good player and we had to make sure we got the same out of him as he showed at Stoke City and if we can get any more than even better,” said Moyes.
“We’ve told the players we need to work a bit harder and play more as a team and that will help us get results.”
Arnautovic scored his first goal for the Hammers since joining the club in the summer in their last game against Chelsea.
The striker’s goal earned West Ham the victory and despite remaining in the relegation zone, it did move the club level on points with West Bromwich Albion.

The Hammers could move out of the bottom three with a victory over the Gunners on Wednesday.
Last season, West Ham suffered two heavy defeats courtesy of Arsenal, losing 5-1 and 3-0.
The Gunners go into this game having lost to Manchester United and scraped a draw against Southampton, which has left them fifth in the table.
West Ham have not beaten Arsenal and Chelsea at home in the same season since the 1986/87 season, and Arsenal have not failed to win in three leagues games since April.
In other West Ham news, the club have been offered this Premier League striker in January, according to a report.
