Newcastle United and Man United are among the clubs considering a late swoop for Everton contract rebel Dominic Calvert-Lewin, sources have told Football Insider.

Chelsea is also a potential destination for the striker but the Blues have made their first move for Ivan Toney, who is also wanted in Saudi Arabia.

Football Insider revealed on Monday (26 August) that Everton are susceptible to offers for Dominic Calvert-Lewin before the transfer deadline on 30 August.

The Toffees have seen multiple contract renewal offers rejected by their 27-year-old talisman.

His current deal is set to expire in less than 12 months and he can pen a pre-contract agreement in January, meaning this month could be the last chance to bank a fee for the striker.

Newcastle could return to Calvert-Lewin race with Everton forced to sell

Newcastle acted on their interest earlier in the summer but were priced out of a move by Everton.

Sources say the Merseysiders will now be forced to reevaluate their demands with Calvert-Lewin rejecting contract offers and with financial uncertainty still lingering.

The forward scored eight goals in 38 games across all competitions last season and has started in both Premier League games so far in the 2024-25 campaign.
