After Slimani, Newcastle complete another last-gasp deal after agent confirms move

Newcastle have completed a move for goalkeeper Martin Dubravka according to his agent.
David Zika posted a tweet from from Newcastle announcing the move, with the tweet reading, “Welcome to Newcastle United.”

The news was also confirmed on Sky Sports live Deadline Day broadcast (Sky Sports, 10pm) and they also said that the deal for Islam Slimani was “all but done”, with clubs allowed to announce the transfer whenever they want.
David Zika is listed as Dubravka’s agent on the reliable website TransferMarkt.com.
Football Insider verdict:
Agents getting over excited and announcing moves before the club is ready is nothing new, and it appears that David Zirka might be getting his wrist slapped tomorrow after announcing Dubravka’s move on Twitter. His tweet was deleted fairly soon after he posted in but not before it had been picked up and reported on Sky Sports. From the photo he posted it seems clear that the deal is indeed done so you can expect the official Newcastle site to announce the move shortly.
