Newcastle United fans want the club to sell right-winger Miguel Almiron after a series of disappointing seasons.

The club are in the market for a top-class right-winger after an underwhelming 2023-24 season from Miguel Almiron, 30, who only scored five goals in 45 appearances.

Football Insider also revealed (July 25) that Newcastle are closing in on a deal for Chelsea winger Noni Madueke as the club look to bolster the problem position.

Michael Olise had been their original top target but the French winger decided to join Bayern Munich in a £50.8 million deal.

Since the club's Saudi Arabian takeover, the club have prioritised improvements elsewhere but fans now believe it's time to address the right wing, especially after the sale of Yankuba Minteh to Brighton.

Newcastle United fans want the club to sell Miguel Almiron

Since joining Newcastle from MLS side Atlanta United back in 2018-19, Almiron has made 209 appearances for the club, scoring 30 goals and providing 12 assists.

Last season was a frustrating one for Almiron and Newcastle, the Paraguayan was only able to score five goals and get three assists.

Newcastle fans have now recognised the right-wing position as one the club will need to improve upon if they’re going to continue their upward trajectory.

Now many have lost faith in Almiron's ability to be a starting winger and want the club to sign a replacement for the 30-year-old.
