'Human wrecking ball' - Newcastle fans delighted with under fire star in loss v Everton

Newcastle United fans were left thrilled with the performance of DeAndre Yedlin during the club’s 1-0 defeat to Everton at St James’ Park on Wednesday.

The Magpies allowed Wayne Rooney to capitalise on a first half goalkeeping error from Karl Darlow to score the goal which separated the two sides, and condemn Rafael Benitez and his men to their seventh defeat in eight games.

Their abysmal run of form has garnered just one point from a possible 24, and will face a tough fight to end their winless streak when they face up against Arsenal over the weekend.

However, despite the result, the Toon Army were not all disheartened by the display, with the performance of right back DeAndre Yedlin catching the eye.

The fans turned to social media to sing the praises of the American after shining on the right flank, which comes after weeks of the 24-year-old coming under fire for his sub-par displays in recent matches.
