Newcastle fans have taken to social media to question the Magpies’ reported interest in £8.5m-rated Udinese goalkeeper Orestis Karnezis.
Italian sports news outlet TuttoUdinese claim that Rafael Benitez’s side are set to fight with Premier League sides Crystal Palace and Watford for the 31-year-old’s signature.
However, fans have been left feeling confused about the potential move, and have taken to social media to voice their concerns.
Here are a selection of the fans’ messages on Twitter:
Do we really need another keeper?

Greek keeper Karnezis has played a key role for Udinese since signing from Panathinaikos in the summer of 2013, going on to make 108 league appearances over three seasons, and is reportedly contracted for another two years.
This campaign has seen him help the Italian side avoid becoming embroiled in a relegation battle, as has been the case for the previous two seasons, conceding 48 goals in 34 appearances and keeping eight clean sheets.
However, the reported interest comes as somewhat of a surprise, with Rafa Benitez set to have five first-team goalkeepers at his disposal ahead of next season.
This season has seen Karl Darlow, Republic of Ireland international Rob Elliot and Belgium international Matz Sels all fight for a place between the sticks in the Championship.
In addition, Benitez will be welcoming back Dutch international Tim Krul and England U21 keeper Freddie Woodman after loans at Dutch side AZ Alkmaar and Scottish team Kilmarnock respectively.
It begs the question, how many goalkeepers do Newcastle need?
