Talks between Newcastle owner Mike Ashley and Amanda Staveley’s PCP Capital Partners have ended with neither side able to reach any an agreement, according to Sky Sports reports, and the news has been met with fury from supporters of the Magpies.
Fans have been desperate to see the back of the Sports Direct owner for some time now and with manager Rafa Benitez seemingly in need of funds for his team, a takeover from Amanda Staveley and co. was well received.
However, with news having emerged tonight that no deal has been agreed, Newcastle supporters have taken to social media to vent their fury.

The news was revealed by Sky Sports reporter Pete Graves on his official Twitter feed who did confirm that the club continues to be up for sale, but there are no other parties thought to be interested at this moment in time.

Benitez has said previously that due to the takeover discussions he was unaware of what funds were available for him to spend in the January transfer window.
The former Liverpool and Valencia manager has been eager to add to his squad and has been pushing Ashley for answers on how much would be available to him to spend from the transfer kitty for some time now.
And now, in light of these revelations, perhaps the Spaniard will get the answers he has been after.
