Former Newcastle duo Moussa Sissoko and Alan Pardew are currently struggling at their current clubs – and Toon fans on Twitter believe their opinions have been vindicated.
The Evening Standard have reported that Crystal Palace manager Pardew is “clinging onto his job” following a devastating 5-4 collapse against struggling Swansea on Saturday.
The loss has left the south London side on the brink of the relegation zone and heaps the pressure on Pardew, who managed Newcastle for four years from 2010 to 2014.
Meanwhile, Sissoko made a mega £30million move to Tottenham from Newcastle in the summer.
The 27-year-old has failed to make an impact in his first 10 appearances for the London club and was left out of the squad which faced Chelsea in a 2-1 defeat on Saturday.
Manager Mauricio Pochettino revealed his absence from the team was because he expects the Frenchman to work harder for the team, something Toon fans were not surprised to hear.
The duo failed to endear themselves to Newcastle fans during their times at the club and supporters on social media have taken an unsympathetic view on the pair.
Here are a selection of their message on Twitter:
So Sissoko turns out to be lazy and useless and Pardew sells all his best players and loses 6 games in a row. Who knew? #NUFC

Shouldn't care about ex's, but just look at likes of Pardew, Remy, Cabaye, Ba, Cisse, Debuchy, Townsend & tell me grass is greener #NUFC

Palace fans complaining after 11 bad months of Pardew. Try having it for 24 months then following it with Carver and McClaren. #nufc

They will face Hull in the EFL Cup on Tuesday before taking on Nottingham Forest in the league on Friday.
In other Newcastle news, the Toon are in a battle to sign Serbian defender.
