Atalanta to accept ‘big’ Ederson offer amid Newcastle latest
Newcastle are considering an approach for Ederson after Man United walked away from a nearly completed deal following their long-term interest.
The Red Devils found an issue in the medical with his knee that saw them call the move off before signing Youri Tielemans and Andrey Santos.
Atalanta are aiming to keep hold of their star midfielder after extending his contract.
They would still be content to let Ederson leave if Newcastle agree to pay a sizeable fee this summer, as I revealed on the latest edition of Football Insider's Transfer Insider podcast,

Eddie Howe is keen to bolster his midfield ranks with more quality following Sandro Tonali's £100m move to Tottenham.
Ederson has been a regular for Atalanta in the Serie A and Champions League for several seasons, while he was in Brazil's squad for the World Cup too.
Speaking on the Transfer Insider podcast, I explained: "If they got a big offer, like they did from Manchester United, they would probably be open to selling him (Ederson).
"Again, would Newcastle be willing to pursue a move for Ederson knowing that the reasons for his move to Man United fell down because of concerns over his medical? That would be another question mark over whether Newcastle would follow up their interest in him."

Newcastle's desire to bolster their midfield options has seen them register an interest in Spurs youngster Gray.
He struggled for regular starts throughout last season and found himself out of the side under Roberto De Zerbi towards the end of the campaign.
