Tino Livramento has impressed Thomas Tuchel enough to earn an England call-up despite facing injury struggles at Newcastle United.

The 23-year-old has started just 12 Premier League games this season, having missed a total of 15 games thanks to a hamstring injury between January and March this year.

Thankfully, Eddie Howe has been able to fall back on Kieran Trippier, especially after Lewis Miley, who had adapted to the defensive role to help the Magpies out of a sticky situation.

Newcastle have suffered multiple injury blows throughout the campaign, and with a European finish still possible, the last thing that the manager needs is another setback for his talented full-back.

Tino Livramento could feature on the international stage

Livramento only has three international caps to his name. But based on his performances since signing for the Magpies, it is only a matter of time before he becomes a regular for the Three Lions.

The only thing stopping the full-back from potentially becoming a world-class player and earning a move to a bigger European club is his injury record, sadly.

And that is exactly why Howe will be crossing all of his fingers and toes while Livramento travels down to St George's Park ahead of friendly games against Uruguay and Japan.

Newcastle look like half the team when Livramento is not available on the right-hand side, and there is a very real possibility that he could pick up a new problem while away with England.

Newcastle United star can still add to his game

Livramento is one of the best defenders in all the Premier League, rarely being beaten by pace or by trickery, and only picking up a handful of yellow cards during his career.

However, with just one goal and three assists in 103 games for the Magpies, there is still room for improvement with the full-back, especially when compared to Lewis Hall on the opposite side.

Hall has also suffered his fair share of setbacks, so with the former Chelsea academy gem also called up to the England squad, Howe will have more than one player to worry about during the international break.

Newcastle cannot afford to lose any more stars to the treatment room. Sandro Tonali has only recently joined Bruno Guimaraes on the sidelines, and any further losses could be detrimental.
