Lewis Hall is reportedly considering his future as a Newcastle United player following a disappointing campaign at St James' Park.

Despite being an exemplary full-back in the Premier League, he could do very little to influence the Magpies' 12th-place finish in the standings.

Manchester City, Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal are all said to be admirers of the 21-year-old, who came through the academy at Cobham Training Centre before joining Newcastle.

Eddie Howe would have a serious problem at full-back were he to leave this summer, especially given Kieran Trippier's exit and Tino Livramento's injury problems.

And speaking of Livramento's injuries, that is exactly why England fans were so baffled when Hall was left out of Thomas Tuchel's squad for the 2026 World Cup.

One of the most trusted left-backs in the Premier League was being left at home, but it looked for a moment like he would be handed a second chance.

It has been revealed that his teammate, Livramento, has picked up yet another injury while away with the Three Lions, ruling him out for the entire tournament.

This would have been the perfect opportunity for Tuchel to fix his mistake and call up Hall as a late addition to the squad. Did he do that?

Of course not. Tuchel, instead, has chosen Chelsea's Trevoh Chalobah to plug the gap ahead of England's opener against Croatia on Wednesday, 17 June, really rubbing salt into the defender's wounds.

Hall absolutely deserves to feel distraught about the situation, with the dream of representing his country on the biggest stage going up in smoke before his eyes yet again.

Much like Jarrad Branthwaite at Everton, he may feel that the only way to grab Tuchel's attention is to find a new club, putting Newcastle on the backfoot this summer.

Victor Munoz of Osasuna could be a very simple replacement for Anthony Gordon, who has already joined Barcelona, but it does feel like Newcastle are heading into the unknown in 2026-27.
