Newcastle United fans are raging with their club after the announcement of their new home kit for the 2026-27 campaign.

Supporters have been growing increasingly frustrated on Tyneside in recent months, as results on the pitch have fallen below the ever-growing expectations for the club.

Their frustrations have now been turned towards Adidas following the reveal of their home strip for next season, as fans have wasted no time in making their anger known.

Newcastle's new shirt features a black and white striped barcode-style design, prompting several fans to brand it as "the worst shirt in club history."

The new kit is available on the club's website at a starting price of £85 for adults and £60 for children.

The reveal of the new kits is usually a hugely exciting day for supporters ahead of the upcoming season, but for Magpies fans, any positivity regarding the unveiling has quickly evaporated.

Newcastle fans demand sackings at Adidas

Newcastle's kits for 2026-27 will once again be made by Adidas, as their multi-year agreement continues to run after it was agreeed back in 2023.

The Magpies have had some strong efforts for both home and away strips in recent years, but fans are already clear that this year's falls well below expectations.

The barcode design has deviated slightly from the club's traditional black and white stripes, and fans haven't taken well to the change.

Newcastle supporters quickly took to X to let the club know their feelings on the shirt, and the reaction has been overwhelmingly negative.

One supporter called their own club "the most embarrassing club in the league," while another simply labelled the shirt as "truly awful."

There were also calls for Adidas' designer to be sacked, while many fans questioned who had signed off on the shirt behind the scenes at St James' Park.

  • @Toonshark9: "Can’t believe this, a Mackem must have signed this off there is no way anyone who remotely understands Newcastle would think this is acceptable."

  • @ramshaw_james: "Says a lot when no one bothered camping outside for it."

  • @EBfromthe13: "Fairs lads that’s probably the worst kit in our entire history, best hope the away and third kit are decent because I’m sure this one won’t be flying off the shelves."

'I'm amazed' - PiF's failure to secure Newcastle deals is 'mystifying'

Newcastle shirt contains 'mystifying' detail

Former Everton chief executive Keith Wyness told Football Insider back in May that Newcastle's inability to secure a new front-of-shirt sponsor is "mystifying."

The new home strip has now been released without a sponsor on the front, with the club still searching for a new backer after their partnership with Sela ran out.

Wyness made it clear that he is "amazed" that PIF haven't been able to "dip into" their investments around the world to find a suitable com

He also noted that they are keen to find a worldwide sponsor rather than a Saudi company, which could provide some explanation for the delay.
