Matthias Jaissle has clear Joelinton plan after what Newcastle star said about Eddie Howe
Joelinton recently admitted to the media that he was upset to see Eddie Howe leave the club last month.
The pair shared a close relationship in their several seasons at the club, with his close friend Bruno Guimaraes also departing Tyneside over the summer.
Joelinton, 30, was linked away from Newcastle following their exits, but a pre-season muscle injury put paid to a potential move to the Saudi Pro League.
Matthias Jaissle named him as his vice-captain last month, and as I revealed on the latest edition of Football Insider's Transfer Insider podcast, the Magpies boss plans to make Joelinton a regular starter when he returns to full fitness.
He is believed to be targeting a return to the matchday squad for when Newcastle travel to Coventry after the break on 12 October.

Jaissle hopes to convince Joelinton to stay at St James' Park for the foreseeable future with regular minutes across this campaign.
He is not set to be for sale in January, but will enter the last 12 months of his contract at the end of the season.
Speaking on the Transfer Insider podcast, I explained: "Once he's back from injury, I'm sure Matthias Jaissle will be hoping that he can get him back in that midfield because it is probably one of the youngest midfields around right now, having lost the experience of Bruno Guimaraes and Sandro Tonali.
"Joelinton has still got a huge role to play for Newcastle. His experience will prove vital for that young squad right now."
Bayern Munich planning Newcastle swoop after Jaissle decision
Jaissle saw fit to loan Nick Woltemade out at the end of the summer transfer window after deciding that he was not part of his plans for this season.
The German forward is at Juventus until the end of the season, but sources have revealed to Football Insider that Bayern admire Woltemade and could try to sign him next year.
Juve do not have an option or obligation to buy him at the end of the campaign, with Newcastle hoping he impresses in Italy to spark a bidding war next summer.
