Odds revealed: Next Premier League manager to be sacked after Eddie Howe's Newcastle bombshell

Eddie Howe is quitting his role at Newcastle United ahead of what could be a rather torrid season for the club.

The Magpies finished last season in rather disappointing form, losing five consecutive matches before two wins and a draw were sandwiched by a final-day defeat to Fulham.

Since then, Newcastle have waved farewell to Anthony Gordon, Sandro Tonali and Kieran Trippier, with Bruno Guimaraes likely to follow.

All four of Howe's summer signings so far had been 20 years old or younger, with the squad is really lacking experience.

Aladji Bamba, Sean Steur, Bazoumana Toure and Ewen Jaouen are all talented players in their own right, but they will now be left scratching their heads about the move to the north east.

Out of nowhere, it was widely reported on Thursday that Howe will walk away, despite all parties agreeing to continue initially.
