Sources reveal where Yoane Wissa will play for Newcastle when Fernandez-Pardo starts
Yoane Wissa is set to continue as Newcastle's number 10 when Matias Fernandez-Pardo is promoted to the starting XI, sources have told Football Insider.
Newcastle moved to complete a £52million deal for Lille forward Fernandez-Pardo on deadline day earlier this week.
He was left out of the United starting XI for Saturday's lunchtime kick-off against Bournemouth, with Wissa leading the front line and Anthony Elanga and Harvey Barnes as the wide forwards.
Newcastle allowed Woltemade to leave the club on loan after he was deemed surplus to requirements under Matthias Jaissle.
The German manager now has a job on his hands to find his best starting eleven in the coming weeks.
As I revealed on the latest edition of Football Insider's Transfer Insider podcast, Wissa is set to continue playing as an attacking midfielder after impressing there in the early parts of the campaign.
The DR Congo star is a striker by trade, but has registered two goal contributions in as many games from number 10 at the start of the Premier League season.

Wissa struggled for form and fitness in his first season at St James' Park, bagging just three times in 28 appearances.
He looks a different player playing behind the striker under Jaissle, so the new boss is set to stick by him in the position for the time being.
Speaking on the Transfer Insider podcast, I explained: "(Fernandez-Pardo) would be the obvious fit to replace Nick Woltemade up front, especially with the way Yoane Wissa has been playing as a number 10 in the opening couple of games of the season.
"They are planning to keep Wissa in that role, but we know that he can also play as a number nine as well."
Wissa is enjoying playing under Jaissle
Sources revealed to Football Insider during the window that Newcastle had no plans to sell Wissa despite his poor form last season and amid their pursuit of a new striker signing.
Fernandez-Pardo shone as a striker for Lille last term, and looks set to continue there under Jaissle.
Wissa is certainly enjoying his revival under the new manager this season, as shown by the praise he heaped on him last week.
Speaking after his goal for Newcastle against Spurs, he said: "I am very happy, to be part of the team and part of the club. Of course we lost so many players but the club worked well. It is challenging and we need players to step up, like me for instance.
"Eddie Howe did a top job and the new manager came with a new identity and that [first goal] is something we have been working on. Every part of the game we are really precise. He is a really dynamic manager, so we have to give everything and I think he is the best signing of Newcastle so far."
