sources understand. Laurent Koscielny joined the club's ever-growing injury list when he sustained a hip injury yesterday afternoon. The Frenchman, who is considered to be Arsenal's first-choice centre-back, had been slotted in to start last night's 5-1 Champions League defeat to Bayern Munich but dropped down to the bench and was replaced in the starting line-up by Gabriel. Koscielny will undergo a fitness test on Saturday morning as Arsene Wenger prepares his injury-ravaged team for Sunday's clash against bitter rivals Tottenham. He joins a treatment room that includes Hector Bellerin (groin), Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (hamstring), Theo Walcott (calf), Mikel Arteta (ankle/foot), Aaron Ramsey (hamstring), David Ospina (shoulder) as well as long-term absentees Jack Wilshere (ankle), Tomas Rosicky (knee) and Danny Welbeck (knee).
even though Wenger has said he will not return until after the international break. The England international suffered a hamstring injury against Sheffield Wednesday nine days ago but the problem is believed to be relatively minor.
