Liverpool are ready to sell Adam Bogdan after Jurgen Klopp lost patience with the error-prone goalkeeper, Football Insider sources understand.

The Hungarian was axed from the squad that faced Arsenal on Wednesday night as he paid the price for his high-profile blunders against Watford and Exeter.

Danny Ward, who was recalled from his loan spell at Aberdeen last week, was named on the substitute's bench as Simon Mignolet was restored to the starting X1.

A Liverpool source has told Football Insider that the club will listen to offers for Bogdan, who joined on a free transfer from Bolton last summer.

A move in the summer is more likely than this month as Liverpool do not expect to sign a new goalkeeper until the current season has finished.

Mignolet has reached agreement on a new £80,000-a-week contract but Klopp is targeting a proven keeper who can compete with the Belgian for the No1 spot.

It will mean that Bogdan is surplus to requirements at Anfield and will be free to find a new club.

The 6ft 4in keeper has made five appearances for Liverpool this season, four of them in the cup competitions, but has looked ill at when dealing with crosses.

Exeter scored direct from a corner against Bogdan last Friday and Watford profited from a horrible mistake, also from a corner, when they beat the Merseysiders 3-0 before Christmas.
