Noni Madueke’s social media activity provides hint as Arsenal eye Morgan Rogers signing
Noni Madueke has liked a post on social media that linked Aston Villa midfielder Morgan Rogers to Arsenal.
The Premier League champions are reportedly among the sides paying serious consideration to the idea of launching a move for the 23-year-old this summer, as they look to strengthen ahead of a bid to retain their title.
Rogers signed a new deal at Villa in November and is under contract until 2031, with decision-makers under no pressure to sell him this summer.
The England international was named in the squad to go to the World Cup this summer, and any potential move will likely need to wait until the tournament is over.
Villa transfer chiefs have surely been paying close attention to the level of fee similar players have attracted, and will be prepared to slap a hefty price tag on the midfielder.

Football Insider exclusively revealed in March that Villa could be forced to sell Rogers if they missed out on Champions League football, but that has not happened.
The Villans finished fourth in the Premier League, and beat Freiburg 3-0 to win the Europa League, with Rogers adding the third.
| Morgan Rogers | Stats – Premier League 2025-26 |
| Appearances | 37 |
| Goals | 10 |
| Assists | 6 |
| Chances created | 47 |
| Successful dribbles | 42 |
| Recoveries | 139 |
| Duels won | 158 |
Yet rumours of an exit continue to surround the 23-year-old, who has enjoyed yet another superb season.
The England international scored 14 goals and provided 13 assists in the last campaign, and he has almost matched those numbers again this season.
There are questions surrounding the position he would play for Arsenal, however. Rogers has often occupied the left wing for Villa this season, and would likely fill that role for the Gunners.
But much of his best work has come from the centre of the pitch – a position that Mikel Arteta’s side are well-stocked in.
With a player of Rogers’ quality, though, Arsenal would likely pay the money and ask questions later.
A post on the Instagram account RisingBallers linked the midfielder with a move to the Emirates Stadium, with Madueke making the point of liking it.
World Cup could alter Rogers trajectory
Villa will attempt everything they can to keep Rogers at the club this summer and for the foreseeable future.
The midfielder is a key part of Unai Emery’s project, and has shown no sign of wanting to leave the club yet.
But Villa will be well aware that a World Cup is a prime stage to attract attention on, and the 23-year-old’s list of suitors could grow by the game.
The concern may then grow past Arsenal, moving towards the more money-relaxed types of PSG and Manchester City.
