Recruitment chief Stuart Webber could soon be leaving Norwich City, Football Insider can exclusively reveal.

The 37-year-old has a fine reputation established at Norwich and former club Huddersfield Town, where he has overseen three promotions in total from the Championship.

But a source at the Premier League new boys has told Football Insider that they have no plans to renew Webber’s contract.

That would come as a major shock to Norwich supporters after the club just won their second Championship title in three seasons.

Webber's former ally Kieran Scott recently quit the Canaries to join Middlesbrough as their new sporting director.

Scott joined Norwich as head of domestic scouting from Burnley in 2017 before later making the step up to head of recruitment.

Webber was named sporting director at Norwich that same year after leaving his post as director of football at Huddersfield Town.

He signed a new three-year contract in September 2019.

He told BBC Sport in May that he was "not scared" of sanctioning big-name exits at Carrow Road as they prepare for life in the top-flight.

Buendia became the club's first headline departure when he signed for Aston Villa in June.

The Canaries have also spent close to £45million on new recruits this summer including the near-£10m addition of Milot Rashica from Werder Bremen.

The captures of Buendia, as well as goalscorer supreme Teemu Pukki, are among Webber's success stories at Norwich.
