'Not good enough', 'Love us to sign him' - Celtic fans split over swoop for 5ft 8 midfield ace
Celtic fans on social media seem split over the prospect of the Hoops signing Hibernian’s John McGinn.
The Scottish Sun reports that the Bhoys have included the 5ft 8in midfielder on a shortlist of potential signings, with Scott Allan set to be included as part of the deal.
The 23-year-old, whose contract runs out at the end of next season, has had an excellent season for Neil Lennon’s side, helping them finish fourth in the Scottish Premiership table.
He scored six goals and provided eight assists and was one of the four players nominated as Scotland player of the year, which was won by Scott Brown.
Despite that, it seems that some fans aren’t convinced about the merits of the Scottish international, with one claiming that he is ‘not good enough’ to play for the Hoops.
On the other hand, another supporter is delighted that the Bhoys may be preparing to bid for McGinn, claiming that they would ‘love us to sign him’.

What’s your thoughts on us wanting to sign McGinn? I mean, we have rogic, ntcham, McGregor who are all outstanding. He’d never replace brown as a captain as I seen someone say on here????

McGinn for me is better than kouassi, Armstrong etc time will tell
— Jamie Mcdaid (@Jamiemcdaid7) May 28, 2018
Only reason we should sign Mcginn is if Armstrong is leaving. Neither gets in our best 11

If the Hoops want to get the deal done for McGinn then they will have to be quick, as Sunderland are reportedly interested in signing the player, according to the Scottish Sun.
