'Not impressed' - Rangers fans react on Twitter to attacker omission v Partick Thistle

By Harvey Byrne

Rangers fans on Twitter have been left unimpressed by the omission of young attacker Joe Dodoo for Saturday afternoon’s clash against Partick Thistle.

The Gers in third are currently preparing to take on the side in sixth at their famous Ibrox ground with spirits high after last weekend’s convincing 3-0 win over second placed Aberdeen.

Veteran Kenny Miller aided his side with two goals on the afternoon, while Dodoo, 21, came off the bench with 20 minutes to go to round up the scoring with the team’s third.

Many were hoping that the pacey summer signing would be handed a start against Partick this weekend to cause the defence further problems.

However, manager Pedro Caixinha decided to leave him on the bench, which caused a lot of unhappiness on social media from the Rangers fan base.

One supporter claimed it was harsh on Dodoo to leave him out once more, while another stated they were “not impressed.”

Here are a selection of their messages on Twitter:

Dodoo has competed in 19 matches for Rangers since his £250,000 move from Premier League champions Leicester, returning five goals and three assists in his debut season.

The young player will be hoping to aid his side with some more goals before the campaign’s end.
