Nottingham Forest are willing to accept an offer for goalkeeper Odysseas Vlachodimos this month to help balance the books, sources have told Football Insider

Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, senior correspondent Pete O’Rourke revealed Nuno Espirito Santo will look to move on the likes of the Greece international over the coming weeks to cut down his bloated squad.

Forest are on the brink of their allowable profit and sustainability (PSR) losses as they prepare to submit their accounts on 30 June.

O’Rourke revealed selling fringe players such as Vlachodimos could go a long way towards resolving the PSR issues at the City Ground.

The 30-year-old is under contract until 2027 after only joining the Premier League side from Benfica last summer.

Odysseas Vlachodimos could be sold to ease Nottingham Forest PSR concerns

It’s been a largely frustrating past year for Vlachodimos since making his £8.6million move to the City Ground.

The German-born goalkeeper previously made 225 appearances for Benfica during his five-year stint with the Portuguese giants.

But he only made seven outings for Forest last season, where he recorded just one clean sheet after conceding 16 goals.

Nuno’s side could now look to move the shot-stopper on after he wasn’t named in the matchday squad for any of their final 15 Premier League games.

There are expected to be a number of exits at the City Ground this summer as Forest look to comply with the PSR rules and avoid being hit with another points deduction.
