Nottingham Forest fans are incensed after Morgan Gibbs-White was sent off during their draw with Brighton as footage emerged on social media.

Nuno Espirito Santo's side fought to keep their unbeaten run going at the AMEX as goals from Chris Wood and Ramon Sosa cancelled out those from Jack Hinshelwood and Danny Welbeck.

However, the game ended with plenty of controversy as Gibbs-White, Nuno, and Brighton boss Fabian Hurzeler were all sent off following a heated clash in the 83rd minute.

A strong challenge from the Forest midfielder resulted in an eventual second yellow card, despite referee Rob Jones signalling that he won the ball in the tackle.

Anthony Taylor, the game's fourth official, was also heavily involved in the aftermath, and fans have speculated that it was he who recommended the dismissal.

Replays showed that Gibbs-White won the ball despite the force in the challenge, leaving supporters raging at his sending-off.

Ultimately, it was a strong performance and a great result for Forest away from home which saw them reach five games unbeaten in the Premier League.

Once again, though, controversial refereeing decisions have cast a cloud over an impressive display, as they became the centre of attention once more.

Fans have flooded social media following the incident, raging at the officials and the decision which has been labelled "embarrassing" and "a disgrace".
