Nottingham Forest confirmed on Thursday evening that Gary Brazil and Jack Lester will remain in charge until the end of the season – and the club’s fans voiced their approval on Twitter with the appointment.

The Midlands club have confirmed on their official Twitter account that the pair will stay at the helm until the end of the campaign after winning three of the four games in charge.

Brazil will continue as the first-team manager, while Lester supports him as the assistant boss.

Forest have been searching for a new first-team manager following Philippe Montanier’s sacking in January, but have decided to hand the role to the interim bosses on a short-term basis.

Contraversial owner Fawaz Al Hasawi has had history of sacking managers since he arrived in 2012 and was unable to convince Nigel Clough to leave Burton Albion for the City Ground.

Forest supporters expressed their delight that Brazil and Lester will continue to take charge of the first-team until the end of the season.

Here is a selection of their messages on Twitter:

Forest have enjoyed wins over Aston Villa, Rotherham and Bristol City during the temporary charge of Brazil and Lester, while their only defeat coming away to play-off contenders Leeds.

They have managed to steer away from the drop zone and are now eight points above the relegation places.
