Nicklas Bendtner required oxygen as he was stretched off during Nottingham Forest’s 3-1 win over Birmingham on Friday night- and supporters were worried on Twitter about the state of his health.
The former Arsenal striker had assisted Forest’s first goal when defender Eric Lichaj opened the scoring with 33 minutes gone on the clock.
However, with the score at 1-0 just before the hour mark, Bendtner landed awkwardly after a collision with Blues defender Michael Morrison and was taken off on a stretcher.
Substitute Apostolos Vellios doubled the home side’s advantage, before Hildeberto Pereira made sure of all three points.
However, City ground supporters were more concerned about their striker and his welfare after his awkward fall during the game.

Many criticised the referee as he failed to show a card or give a foul for the Bendtner injury, which further enraged the fans.
One fan stated that the referee in question Jeremy Simpson was not a popular figure amongst Forest supporters for his handling of the Bendtner situation.
Overall supporters were hoping the injury suffered by the Dane is not too serious, as they wished him a speedy recovery.
Here is a selection of Nottingham Forest supporters reacting to Bendtner’s injury:
Bendtner goes down and immediately signals to the bench. Seems in genuine pain. Worrying development. Was showing signs of class #NFFC

How is that not a foul? Bendtner is clearly pushed and has a foot raked down the back of his calf. Nothing given. Another dodgy ref #nffc

Unlucky not to claim first clean sheet. But PM has capitalised on having time with players. Hope Bendtner ok. #inmontannieritrust #nffc

Seemed a clear foul. Ref not popular at all here tonight. Bendtner will be stretchered off. Velios on in his place #NFFC
