Nottingham Forest set to make a move for Serie A forward – report

Nottingham Forest are interested in bringing Napoli forward Nicolao Dumitru to the City Ground, according to a report.

Italian publication Alfredo Pedulla claim that the two-time European Cup winners are set to enquire over the availability of the 24-year-old.

The Swedish-born striker has appeared eight times for Italy’s Under-20 side, scoring two goals.

The forward, who turns 25 in October, is yet to appear for Napoli, spending the large part of his career with Empoli, PAE Veria and US Latina Calcio.

He has 15 goals in Serie B in 107 appearances in the league and has also notched 11 goals in 32 games in Primavera A.

Forest have made a comfortable start to the season, taking nine points from their opening five games, and they sit just outside the play-off spots in seventh.

Their last game saw them beat Leeds 3-1, with a goal coming from Oliver Burke, who has recently moved to Red Bull Leizpig, after being courted by Bayern Munich.

Their next game comes away at Aston Villa on 10 September after the first international break of the season.
