Nottingham Forest host Newcastle United this weekend as Eddie Howe’s side aim to win successive league games for the first time since January.

Forest are in fine league form heading into the clash, with a recent run of three successive wins to move ever closer to officially being safe from relegation.

They can seal their place in the Premier League this weekend, with Newcastle the visitors at the City Ground as they hunt a place in Europe for next season.

Eddie Howe’s side are 13th before the next round of games commences, but they can seal back-to-back wins in the East Midlands after beating Brighton 3-1 last weekend.

Newcastle are aiming to do the double over Forest after goals from Bruno Guimaraes and Nick Woltemade handed them a 2-0 win in the reverse fixture on Tyneside back in October.

This clash will take place at the City Ground and is set to kick off at 2pm on Sunday, 10 May.

It is set to be available to watch on Sky Sports Main Event, Sky Sports+ and Sky Sports Premier League, with coverage set to start on the latter channel at 1pm.

What are Opta predicting for Forest vs Newcastle?

Sources have told Football Insider that PIF faced serious questions at their annual meeting last week, with European qualification a priority for the club this season.

They must win on Sunday to stand any chance of making the Europa or Conference League, but Opta‘s supercomputer is only giving them a 27.8 per cent chance of doing so as it stands.

The two sides playing out a draw is 26.9 per cent likely too, meaning Forest are currently given a 45.3 per cent chance of emerging with the three points.
