Arthur Theate: 1.26 and 51.6% stats show Nottingham Forest can be transformed as approach is made
Arthur Theate is an intriguing new addition to those players said to be on the radar Nottingham Forest this summer.
The 26-year-old centre-back has enjoyed a solid season at Eintracht Frankfurt in the Bundesliga.
After playing 24 times in the German top-flight throughout the 2025-26 campaign, his future is now uncertain as he heads into the 2026 World Cup with Belgium.
Journalist Sacha Tavolieri has reported via X that Nottingham Forest have made an enquiry for Theate after the defender opened the door to a summer departure.
Forest’s defence was unable to replicate the success of the 2024-25 campaign, and Vitor Pereira is now looking to upgrade this department.
Arthur Theate has some stunning stats
Frankfurt may have missed out on European qualification this season, but Theate still managed to put in a solid campaign.
Since signing permanently from Rennes, the defender has proven himself to have excellent defensive and passing qualities.
According to Statscore data metrics, in the Bundesliga this season, he has averaged, 1.47 tackles, 1.26 interceptions, 0.25 balls won in the final third, 5.67 clearances and a 51.6 per cent long ball passing completion per 90 minutes, showcasing why Forest are interested.
If this can be replicated in the Premier League with Forest, it would make him a transformative signing.
It would give Pereira a player who can now only defend but potentially begin attacks after winning possession through his long-ball play.
As a result, Forest must do everything in their power to get the transfer over the line in the coming months.
Who else are Nottingham Forest linked to this summer?
Football Insider has exclusively revealed that Forest are ready to reignite their interest in Jean-Philippe Matate this summer.
The Crystal Palace striker has been linked with an exit from Selhurst Park for some time, and saw a move to AC Milan collapse late in the winter window.
The Frenchman is out of contract in June 2027 and the Eagles are looking to cash in on him ahead of next term, with a new deal still looking unlikely.
Mateta’s price tag has now dropped down to the £25million mark, and sources say that Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis is prepared to back Vitor Pereira to fund the addition of a new frontman.
