Dan Ndoye's future could be away from Nottingham Forest this summer, but his performance for Switzerland against Bosnia will have intrigued boss Vitor Pereira.

In what was a tightly contested match for large parts, Switzerland benefited from a red card to Bosnia defender Tarik Muharemovic in the final 10 minutes to cruise to a 4-1 win.

Ndoye kept his place in the starting line-up from the team that only drew with Qatar on the opening matchday.

However, the 25-year-old's game time during his debut season at Nottingham Forest was never guaranteed, and the forward only contributed one goal and one assist in the Premier League.

Nottingham Forest could target a new forward in the summer transfer window, putting Ndoye's future at the club further in doubt.

Ndoye's stats against Bosnia though show that the forward could come good at the City Ground.

How did Dan Ndoye perform for Switzerland vs Bosnia?

The Swiss winger had an eventful game against Bosnia, having the most shots on goal and the most touches in the opposition penalty area than any other player on the pitch.

Ndoye missed one big chance, but his spectacular overhead kick, which was saved by goalkeeper Nikola Vasilj, showed the fine technique which he has in his locker.

Successfully completing the most dribbles of any player, and making 11 progressive carries, Ndoye was a threat going forward.

Defensively, Ndoye was also strong, winning six of his 11 ground duels, all of his aerial duels, and making three recoveries.

Playing 72 minutes before being substituted, Ndoye watched as all of Switzerland's goals came once he was off the pitch, prompting the question of whether he was actually trying too hard to impress.

Sources have told Football Insider that Ndoye could be sold by Nottingham Forest this summer if a "big offer" was received.

What is Dan Ndoye's role at Nottingham Forest?

Ndoye could be using the World Cup to get back into Pereira's starting line-up.

Since being appointed in February, Pereira has preferred to play Omari Hutchinson and Morgan Gibbs-White out wide, and play two strikers up-front.

Without any European football at the City Ground next season, Ndoye could finder game time harder to come by.

Ndoye largely featured in the Europa League for the Tricky Trees, but with just one goal in 12 appearances, the World Cup now feels like a pivotal chance for him to impress.
