Nottingham Forest were forced to beat FC Midtjylland on penalties to reach the Europa League quarter-finals in Denmark.

Vitor Pereira's side needed goals to come from somewhere after losing 1-0 at the City Ground, and they got that through a first-half effort from Nicolas Dominguez on Thursday, 19 March.

Ryan Yates grabbed a second from range, but with Martin Erlic evening up the score on aggregate (2-2), Forest were forced to win the game on penalties at the MCH Arena.

Forest next face Tottenham in the Premier League, and the manager will have some serious decisions to make about his starting lineup following the clash in Denmark.

Omari Hutchinson fails to make a mark

Sadly, Omar Hutchinson was very quiet during his 61 minutes on the pitch, rightly being replaced by Morgan Gibbs-White for the final 30 minutes away from home.

After splashing £37million on the speedy winger, supporters were expecting a lot more from him this season, but he remains on one goal and four assists after the European clash.

While he did create three chances, Hutchinson left the field without any assists, only completed one dribble, lost 75 per cent of his aerial duels and was caught offside once [FotMob].

Nicolas Dominguez gets Nottingham Forest on the front foot

After scoring the opener, it is hardly surprising to see Dominguez amongst the best performers at the MCH Arena, and deservedly so following his display in the middle of the park.

He has been growing in confidence in recent weeks, earning a regular spot in Pereira's starting lineup, and he is rewarding the manager with some good performances.
