Nottingham Forest given Lucas Bergvall hurry-up after official Tottenham news
Tottenham Hotspur have included Lucas Bergvall in the squad for their pre-season tour of New Zealand and Australia, despite interest from Nottingham Forest and Newcastle United.
Both clubs have had bids in the £40million range rejected for the 20-year-old, who has reportedly made his desire to leave this summer clear.
The Sweden international is keen for a more prominent role elsewhere, having been in and out of the team at times last season.
Bergvall remains under contract at Tottenham until 2031 and may well cost up to £60m to sign this summer.
Nottingham Forest's interest appears to be more advanced at this stage, with the midfielder seen as a replacement for Elliot Anderson, who joined Manchester City in a £116m deal at the start of the month.
Newcastle have completed the signings of Sean Steur and Aladji Bamba in midfield, although their business will not be finished if Bruno Guimaraes joins Arsenal.

Progress in a potential Nottingham Forest deal for Bergvall has been hard to come by in recent weeks.
The Tricky Trees' opening offer was worth in the region of £38m, but an update has not followed since reports of an incoming £45m second offer.
Negotiations behind the scenes are likely ongoing, although it can be assumed that a deal is far from close to completion.
It is unlikely that Bergvall would have been included in Tottenham's pre-season squad if one was, with the first friendly to kick off on Sunday.
The last game will be against Chelsea on the first day of August, but Nottingham Forest will hope to complete a deal before then.
Players are often granted leave to complete moves while on pre-season tours, and Tottenham's inclusion of Bergvall may well be a way of hurrying his suitors up.

Nottingham Forest's first pre-season game, and their first game under Oliver Glasner, was played last week when they beat Notts County 2-0.
Their second was against Blackburn Rovers and it ended 3-0 to the Tricky Trees.
Games against Vitoria de Guimaraes, Sporting CP, Bayer Leverkusen and Brest remain, with the Premier League kicking off at the back end of August.
Glasner will hope to get Bergvall in for at least one or two of those friendlies, but talks will need to accelerate.
