Nottingham Forest have no plans to sell Morgan Gibbs-White this summer due to Elliot Anderson’s impending departure.

Both Reds stars have been linked with moves away from the City Ground after enjoying outstanding individual seasons.

Gibbs-White was Forest’s talisman in their run to the Europa League semi-final stage last term, while Anderson emerged as one of the best box-to-box midfielders in the Premier League.

The latter is expected to join Man City this summer, even though they have seen two bids for his services rejected by Forest over the last week.

City still look set to sign Anderson if they up their bid a third time, and as I revealed on the latest edition of Football Insider's Transfer Insider podcast, his sale will all but rule out an exit for Gibbs-White.

Unlike his teammate, the 26-year-old missed out on a place in Thomas Tuchel’s England squad for the World Cup this summer.

He has been linked to a whole host of top clubs after an impressive campaign, but could be forced to stay in the East Midlands for another season.

Morgan Gibbs-White unlikely to be sold alongside Elliot Anderson

Gibbs-White registered 18 goals and seven assists in 53 games across all competitions for Forest in 2025-26.

Speaking on the Transfer Insider podcast, I explained: “I don't think Forest will be counting on losing Elliot Anderson and Morgan Gibbs-White in the same transfer window and they'll be doing everything they can to keep hold of Gibbs-White.

“Just like Anderson, there will be a huge price tag on his head to try and ward off any potential suitors of the attacking midfielder as well.

“It won’t be an easy deal to do and I'm sure Forest will be determined to keep hold of Gibbs-White."

Nottingham Forest to consider 'big offer' for Dan Ndoye as Roma line up summer transfer

Forest reluctant to agree to Dan Ndoye sale amid Roma interest

Ndoye did not particularly impress throughout his debut campaign at the City Ground last term, unlike his aforementioned teammates.

The 25-year-old forward only managed to register two goals and one assist in 37 appearances following a big-money move from Bologna.

Despite his struggles, sources have exclusively revealed to Football Insider that Vitor Pereira wants to keep Ndoye at the club for next season.

He is attracting interest from Serie A side Roma, but Forest believe that he will benefit from a full season in English football.
