Sean Dyche is eyeing a return to top-level management eight months after leaving Nottingham Forest, sources have told Football Insider.

The 55-year-old was sacked in February after just 114 days in the role, and was one of five managers who have taken charge at the City Ground in the last 12 months.

Following his dismissal, he has taken time out of the game and regularly featured in a pundit role, but sources say he is now ready to take his next managerial job.

As I revealed on the latest edition of Football Insider's Transfer Insider podcast, Dyche is eyeing potential opportunities to return to the Premier League as pressure hots up.

The period between this international break and the next in November is when changes are expected to start taking place, with many top bosses already under pressure.

Dyche is now prepared to step back into the role after having turned down multiple offers since his exit from Nottingham Forest, and the right club could lure him back in.

Where is Sean Dyche's most likely destination?

Football Insider revealed earlier this year that Dyche was being eyed for the vacant West Brom job before the eventual appointment of James Morrison.

However, the boss has not been willing to step into the Championship, and would prefer to manage in the Premier League where he has built up a wealth of experience.

Spells with Forest, Everton and Burnley mean Dyche is still held in very high regard in the Premier League, and is set to be considered when changes start to take place.

Speaking on the Transfer Insider podcast, I explained: "Sean Dyche has been out of work for a little while now as well, and I'm told he is keen to get back into a job soon.

"He has had offers from other clubs, but he has turned those down because he doesn't feel it was the right opportunity for him at that time.

"I'm sure he'll be waiting for the right project to come along and then he will be ready to step back into that managerial hot seat.

"There are certainly clubs in the Premier League who will look at Dyche if they decide to make a change, and we could see some movement after we return from the international break.

"Dyche is a viable candidate for any job that becomes available because of his brilliant experience that he's got from his time in the Premier League with Burnley, Everton and Forest as well."

Which Premier League job could become available first?

Dyche's likely return to Premier League management is now being discussed amid growing pressure on a number of top bosses during the international break.

Slow starts to the season at both Fulham and Crystal Palace, for example, have led to speculation about the futures of Alvaro Arbeloa and Pierre Sage respectively.

Meanwhile, Frank Lampard has come under pressure at Coventry, after Football Insider reported that the former Chelsea man, alongside Arbeloa and Sage, are the favourites to be sacked first.

There is also pressure on the likes of Michael Carrick and Roberto De Zerbi, but Dyche would be an unlikely candidate for either Man United or Tottenham.

Instead, he may be eyeing potential vacancies at Fulham, Crystal Palace or Coventry as he looks to step back in to Premier League management.
