Nottingham Forest must fear an approach from Liverpool for Neco Williams as Andy Robertson prepares to depart Anfield when his contract ends this summer.
Williams has continued to impress at the City Ground this season despite Forest's struggles near the bottom of the table.
His strong showings have seen clubs in the Premier League and across Europe register their interest in his services ahead of the summer transfer window, according to Fabrizio Romano.
Liverpool could be one of the sides that are keen to test their resolve over Williams, considering his past links to the club and Robertson's situation.
Forest's transfer plans will not involve letting Williams go, but they could be forced to let him leave if the Reds make a move.

Sources have told Football Insider that Robertson looks likely to leave Liverpool this summer, with contract talks currently at a standstill.
Williams would be a sensible, realistic replacement for the Scot, after emerging as one of the most consistent left-backs in the Premier League since leaving Anfield for Forest in 2022.

As shown above, he is clearly performing at a higher level than his former teammate right now, and is 24-years-old so still has time to develop before he reaches his prime.
Williams is also a Liverpool fan, having joined as a six-year-old and spent over a decade working his way through their academy.
He would, therefore, surely be open to a move back to Merseyside to provide competition to Milos Kerkez and even potentially overtake him as their first-choice left-back.
The Welshman's versatility should also appeal to the Reds, as he is a right-back by trade, and they have seriously struggled for consistency in that position this season.
What has Robertson said about his Liverpool future?
Williams could well leave Forest this summer as clubs circle, with relegation likely to effectively confirm his exit from the East Midlands.
Liverpool could well be interested, but a move will surely hinge on whether Robertson does leave after nine years at the club.
He has not publicly confirmed whether he wants to stay, but did recently insist that he wants the decision to be made in a respectful way from all parties involved.
Robertson said: "I’ve always said that (the talks) will stay between me and the club. I don't think it will get played out in public.
"I've had a good relationship with the people who brought me to the football club. I think out of respect to them, and they have respected me, then the conversations will be in-house."
